Patient and Parent Council
The Patient and Parent Council is being established to promote the consideration of the needs of patients and parents in the planning and development of the PMPC.
The Patient and Parent Council is being established to promote the consideration of the needs of patients and parents in the planning and development of the PMPC.
We believe voices of patients and parents are crucial in developing PMPC.
The Patient and Parent Council will:
- evaluate the planning and development of the PMPC from the perspective of patients and parents;
- provide patients’ and parents’ views on planned services, treatment approaches and research, as well as will gather feedback from patients and parents on PMPC services, treatment approaches or research results;
- participate in the implementation of information and education activities for patients and parents, as well as the public, on precision medicine opportunities and PMPC services;
- develop proposals for draft legislation and policy planning documents on issues related to the development of the PMPC.
Parents whose children are or have been patients of the Children’s Clinical University Hospital and who are ready to commit to active engagement in the work of the Patient and Parent Council can become the members of the Patient and Parent Council.
Candidates for the seats of the Patient and Parent Council may be nominated by patient organizations, the Parents' Council of the Children's Clinical University Hospital, and medical professionals of the Children's Clinical University Hospital.
